Over the
weekend, Spacemanic successfully conducted two stratospheric balloon missions
for our esteemed clients, showcasing our commitment to advancing scientific
research and supporting philanthropic endeavors.
Scientific
Mission J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry
During the Friday
night, our Straton Industries team launched two stratospheric balloons on
behalf of a J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry. These balloons were equipped with
advanced instruments designed specifically for the mission. The mission
proceeded flawlessly, with both balloons reaching approx.30 km altitude and
both payloads successfully recovered. We will inform you about the exciting
details of this mission as soon as they are officially published.
PRIM
Watch Stratospheric Flight for Ústecká Hvězdárna
On Sunday
morning, we embarked on a unique mission in collaboration with the renowned
Czech watchmaker PRIM. A special edition watch, the PRIM Tycho Brahe Kosmos,
was launched into the stratosphere aboard our high-altitude balloon. This
initiative was part of a philanthropic effort to support the reconstruction of
the Ústecká Hvězdárna (Ústí nad Labem Observatory) in northern Czech Republic.
The watch, featuring an engraved star map from 1949—the year marking the
inception of Czech watchmaking tradition—was successfully retrieved post-flight
and will shortly travel to its owner, who won it in an auction a few months
back, with all proceeds dedicated to the observatory's restoration.
