Reaching to the stratosphere once again: LEGO Astronauts Reach the Stratosphere with Spacemanic

At Spacemanic, we just love pushing the boundaries of space exploration—even when it comes to fun and imaginative projects! Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to partner with the agency Kreativ gang and be a part of an exciting adventure: launching a stratospheric balloon that carried a LEGO shuttle with 360 LEGO astronauts over 30 km above the Earth!

This extraordinary mission was part of the LEGO Space competition, a campaign designed to inspire creativity in kids and adults alike. Participants could design their own LEGO minifigure, with the chance to send it into space! The competition saw incredible engagement, driven by a massive campaign and influencer outreach, which helped break participation records.

Our role was to handle the technical aspects of the balloon launch and its safe recovery. We are very happy to report that we were successful and managed to recover the shuttle with the entire crew accounted for.  

The shuttle, filled with LEGO astronauts, reached the stratosphere, offering a stunning view of Earth before safely landing in southern Slovakia.

All the astronauts have been giftwrapped and shipped back to their designers accompanied by a boarding ticket enhanced by a cool augmented reality effect.
